Webinars “Landslide Monitoring for Early Warning Systems”
On behalf of the ‘PyrMove’ (*) and ‘GeoRisk’ (*) projects, we are happy to announce four one-hour webinars on “Landslide Monitoring for Early Warning Systems” (4th Edition), to be held this April 2024, every Wednesday at 14h, C.E.S.T.
The webinar series goal is to disseminate new techniques and concepts that might help in landslide monitoring and modelling and related fields. These new solutions may be the base of some Early Warning Systems for controlling and managing the risk, in order to reduce damage or losses.
Webinars agenda

The attendance is free. The webinars will be held online through a Google MEET session.
For the first webinar (Wednesday, 3rd of April · 14:00) the link will be: https://meet.google.com/sif-ftdu-oxd.
Next sessions might use a different MEET code. To be invited to one or several days, a simple pre-webinar registration is required: you must send an email to EWS.webinars.April2021@gmail.com indicating your intention to attend to one or several webinars.

Informative session with entities in Castellfollit de la Roc
On November 2, 2022 took place the first briefing session with the municipalities of Castellfollit de la Roca and Montagut i Oix, Consell comarcal de la Garrotxa, Parc geològic de la Garrotxa, Diputació de Girona, SIGNA, Villarrasa S.L. The objective was to present the monitoring work carried out in the Cinglera, and the results obtained. The speaker were M Amparo Núñez, Nieves Lantada and Marc Janeras.
After the presentation by the Georisk team, there was an open round of interventions in which there was space for discussion and resolution of doubts, as well as the planning of future actions with citizen participation.
International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction
The Georisk project will participate next October 15 in the outing to Gerri de la Sal organized by Geoparc Orígens in the framework of the "International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction" (resolution 44/236), designated by the UN General Assembly. The objective is to make society aware of the monitoring systems and risk analysis due to rockfals.
